Angad Singh Bedi is a former model and actor from India. In 2004, he made his debut with Kaya Taran. Angad has always had a liking for sports, particularly cricket. He excelled at the sport and even played for his high school and college teams. However, his destiny changed when he decided to pursue a career in acting. Angad's natural skill and determination catapulted him to succeed despite his lack of formal instruction.

Angad Bedi, born in New Delhi, India, grew up surrounded by sports and entertainment. Angad Bedi received his education from a number of notable institutes. He went to school at Bishop Cotton School, Shimla,  St. Columba's School, Delhi and Gyan Bharati Public School, Delhi. Upon completing his schooling, Angad studied at St. Stephen's College in Delhi.Angad Bedi continued to pursue his passions for athletics and acting during his undergraduate years. He actively participated in a variety of sports as well as theatre and dramatics, demonstrating his talent and versatility.

Family

Bishan Singh Bedi, Angad's father, was a well-known cricketer who captained the Indian national team and was noted for his outstanding left-arm spin bowling. His mother, Anju Inderjit Bedi, was a well-known actress in India. With such successful parents, Angad grew up in an environment that nourished his abilities and instilled a love of sports and the arts in him.From his father's previous marriage, he has one older sister, Neha, and two older step-siblings, a step-sister named Gillinder and a step-brother named Gavasinder.

Wife

Angad began dating Neha Dhupia, who is a very well-known actress in Bollywood and the two decided to marry on May 10, 2018, in a private ceremony at a Gurudwara. The couple has two children. They have a daughter named Mehr Dhupia Bedi, who was born on November 18, 2018, and a son born on October 3, 2021 named  Guriq Singh Dhupia Bedi.

Career

Angad began his career in 2004 with the film Kaya Taran, directed by Sashi Kumar. The film was set against the backdrop of the Gujarat riots in 2002 and the anti-Sikh riots in 1984. The film earned the Aravindan Puraskaram award for best first film-maker in 2004, and Bedi's performance was praised.He had a food show called Cook Na Kaho on Star One in 2005. In 2010, he co-hosted Extraaa Innings T20, a show that aired in between match sessions during the Indian Premier League (IPL). He was a competitor on Colours' Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi in Season 3. He also hosted the first season of UTV Bindass' reality show Emotional Atyachar before being replaced by Pravesh Rana. In 2011, he returned to Bollywood with the film F.A.L.T.U., directed by Remo D'Souza. Angad is best known for his roles in films such as Ungli (2014) and PINK (2016). He was also seen in Tiger Zinda Hai alongside Salman Khan. In 2017, he starred as the lead in the Amazon original series Inside Edge. He also appeared in the films Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl, a biopic of Indian Air Force Pilot Gunjan Saxena, in which he played her brother, and Soorma, a biopic of Sandeep Singh, the former captain of the Indian Hockey Team, in which he also played his brother. The actor has appeared on The Zoya Factor.

Kaya Taran

Kaya Taran is a 2004 Indian Hindi-language film directed by Sashi Kumar and starring Angad Bedi, Seema Biswas, Neelambari Bhattacharya, and Neeta Mohindra. Based on N. S. Madhavan's Malayalam short story When Big Tree Falls, the film is set against the backdrop of the 2002 Gujarat riots against Muslims and the 1984 anti-Sikh riots.The film was awarded the Aravindan Puraskaram in 2004 for its deft handling of a theme of contemporary relevance through sensitive imagery, carefully orchestrated sound design, and finely etched characters.

Ungli

Ungli is a 2014 Indian vigilante crime thriller film directed by Rensil D'Silva and produced by Hiroo Yash Johar and Karan Johar under Dharma Productions. Emraan Hashmi, Randeep Hooda, Kangana Ranaut, Neha Dhupia, Angad Bedi, Neil Bhoopalam, and Sanjay Dutt feature in the film. Mahesh Manjrekar, who works with Dharma Productions for the first film, plays a villain. The movie was released on November 28, 2014.

Soorma

Soorma is a 2018 Indian Hindi-language biographical sports drama film based on the life of hockey player Sandeep Singh. Diljit Dosanjh, Angad Bedi, and Taapsee Pannu appear in the film directed by Shaad Ali and produced by Sony Pictures Networks India and C.S. Films.  It was released in theatres on July 13, 2018.

In 2010, he was the host of the show Cook Na Kaho. In the same year, he hosted Extraaa Innings T20, a cricket-related show that gave analysis and commentary during IPL matches. Angad Bedi hosted Season 1 of Emotional Atyachar, a show that investigated and exposed adultery and treachery in relationships, in 2011.He showed off his daring side by competing in Season 3 of the tense reality show Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi. In 2016, Angad played Dhruv Awasthi in the Indian adaption of the iconic television series 24.

Inside Edge is a Karan Anshuman-created Indian sports-drama streaming television series available on Amazon Prime Video. It debuted on July 10, 2017, and is Amazon Originals' first Hindi-language series. The Mumbai Mavericks are a fictitious T20 cricket franchise whose owners run a league-wide spot-fixing syndicate. Inside Edge stars Manu Rishi, Amit Sial, Karan Oberoi, and Asha Saini, as well as Vivek Oberoi, Richa Chada, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Tanuj Virwani, Angad Bedi, Sayani Gupta, Aamir Bashir, and Sapna Pabbi.

Mum Bhai is an Indian crime thriller web series in Hindi. Balaji Telefilms produces the film, which is directed by Akshay Choubey. Angad Bedi, Sandeepa Dhar, Sikandar Kher, and Sunny Hinduja star in the series. It follows the ascent of Bhaskar Shetty, a renegade cop. On November 12, 2020, the series was digitally released on ZEE5 and ALT Balaji.

The tale takes viewers on a trip through the complexity of modern-day relationships. A sense of humour is added to the mix by Neena Gupta's elderly mother, who equates pre-marital romances to a test drive. It will be available on Netflix on June 29, 2023.

• Angad was arrested in 2012 for reportedly ingesting narcotics at a rave party at a Suburban Juhu Hotel, and he tested positive for cannabis and ecstasy ingestion together with 85 others. He was eventually released on bail. 

• He slammed all the trolls related to his wife Neha Dhupia’s Roadies controversy by making an Instagram post. He shared pictures with his five girlfriends in the post which featured Neha herself in all the five pictures. In the caption he wrote Ukhad Lo Jo Ukhad na Hai #itsmychoice and tagged his wife, to which Neha replied My Man with heart emoticons.
