satish-shah-with-wife-madhuAt the Sipta Film Festival, Satish met Madhu for the first time. He liked her and asked her out right away. Madhu said no to this sudden show of love. Satish's heart was broken, but he got a second chance to get this woman to like him. The movie Saath Saath was going to be filmed at SNDT College in Juhu, where Madhu was a student. Satish tried again, but this time he was turned down again. When he tried for the third time, Madhu told him she would only agree to marry him if her parents gave their approval.

When love marriages were frowned upon and arranged marriages were praised, Satish and Madhu fell in love with each other. It was also a time when people didn't respect people who worked in TV.
