On the 29th of June, 2023, the much-anticipated sequel to the Indian anthology film Lust Stories 2 was made available on Netflix. This collection of short stories, which was published as a follow-up to the first Lust Stories collection that was published in 2018, continued to push the boundaries of storytelling and investigate numerous aspects of human relationships and wants.

Review

Lust Stories 2 has garnered diverse reviews since its release. It received a 3 out of 5-star rating from Saibal Chatterjee of NDTV, who called it an interesting mix of stories and topics. While there are glimmers of passion, Chatterjee thought they weren't the main emphasis of the stories.

One such review comes from critic Sukanya Verma of Rediff.com, who gives the film a rating of 3 out of 5 stars. Verma appreciates the anthology's exploration of lust beyond its sexual aspects, delving into its social and psychological dimensions.

One segment that stood out for Verma was Konkona Sen Sharma's The Mirror, which captivated her with its intimate storytelling and social context.

A well-known film reviewer who writes for The Indian Express, Shubhra Gupta, also complimented the piece that Konkona Sen Sharma contributed to the anthology, stating that it was the most challenging and rewarding of all the stories included.
