In Mission Kashmir, a young boy named Altaaf Khan is followed after he is adopted by a police chief whose officers unintentionally kill Altaaf's entire family. He seeks revenge and turns to terrorism after learning the truth. The movie, which was screened at the Stockholm International Film Festival and saw theatrical release in India and throughout the world on October 27, 2000, in conjunction with the Diwali festival, was rated R in the US due to violence.

The movie clashed with Shah Rukh Khan and Amitabh Bachchan's musical romance Mohabbatein, directed by Aditya Chopra. Nevertheless, it was the third highest-grossing Hindi movie of 2000 with global revenues of 433 million (US$5.4 million). It was also a critical and commercial success. It shared similarities with Roshan's other 2000 film Fiza, in which he also played a terrorist, and won the Filmfare Award for Best Action.

 Mission Majnu

The spy thriller Mission Majnu was produced by Ronnie Screwvala, Amar Butala, and Garima Mehta in 2023 and directed by Shantanu Bagchi. The 1971 Indo-Pakistani War is depicted both before and during the movie, which stars Sidharth Malhotra. In supporting roles are Rashmika Mandanna, Parmeet Sethi, Sharib Hashmi, Kumud Mishra, and Rajit Kapur.

Malhotra has the police waiting to take Charles into custody at the hospital. Charles kidnaps one of the twins during the altercation and abandons him at the train tracks. Charles is detained and given a 20-year prison term. Malhotra moves to London, England, after the police advise him to leave India with his wife and Prem. A woman by the name of Kashibai discovers the other twin, and she raises him as her son in Mumbai, giving him the name Raja.
