Elena Fernandes is a
philanthropist, supermodel, influencer, and actor. Elena was born in London to
a Peruvian mother and an Indian father, and she currently lives and works in
London, Dubai, Mumbai, and New York.
Elena places a great value
on both academic work and philanthropy. She has a law degree from the
University of London's Kings College and is currently pursuing a Master's
degree in International Law at the College of Law. She delivered a successful
TED presentation and was a key speaker at the 2019 Global Economic Summit in
Elena's career began with
a 12-page editorial for Vogue India, and she has since grown into a supermodel,
excellent actress, and well-known philanthropist. She has appeared in
editorials and front covers of major global magazines such as Vogue, GQ, and
Harpers Bazaar. Elena has built tremendous equity as a top notch ambassador for
several brands after appearing in numerous advertising campaigns for worldwide
firms such as Adidas, FILA, Westside, and FBB.
Her visibility is boosted
further by regular appearances at high-profile events such as the British
Fashion Awards, the Cannes Film Festival, and the fashion week programme.
Elena balances a lucrative
modelling career with a thriving film and television career. Her first film was
Dharma Productions' "Kapoor & Sons," and she has subsequently
been in Sujoy Ghosh's Badla, the blockbuster successful franchise Housefull 4,
and Jawaani Jaaneman. Elena's starring performance in 'Cheat India' was warmly
received, and she is currently in talks to appear in a number of big budget
film projects in India and overseas.
Elena operates her own
nonprofit, iAmChange, and spends a substantial amount of time in the United
States working with Sightlife, a corneal blindness organisation. She also
speaks at schools on a regular basis for PETA and WFA.
