The plot follows Toasty who develops feelings for Tej, a person from a family with just seven men and no women. Tej and Toasty fall in love. Seven men, who are all three generations old are her only in- laws in the family house and all the seven males despise the female gender. However, they all manage to come to terms with Tej and Toasty's union. Toasty quickly realises that she must act as the warden for each of the house's seven male residents. Toasty embraces the family wholeheartedly and works to find solutions for each and every family member's difficulties.

Saas Bina Sasural received an IMDB rating of 7.0 out of 10.

Saas Bina Sasural was brought back for Season 2 in 2020. Saas Bina Sasural 2 was the original name of the programme but was later changed to  Sargam Ki Sadhe Sati. Anjali Tatrari as Sargam Aparshakti Awasthi and Kunal Saluja as Aparshakti Awasthi (Appu) are the leads in the comic sequel.
