Adline Castelino received her early education at the Indian Central School in Kuwait City. At the age of fifteen, she moved to Mumbai, India, where she completed her schooling at St. Xavier's High School. She further pursued her higher education at Wilson College, graduating with a degree in business administration. Castelino is fluent in English and Hindi, in addition to her mother tongue, Konkani.

Childhood and Family

Adline Castelino was born in Kuwait City to Alphonse and Meera Castelino. Her family hails from Udyavara in Udupi, Karnataka. Her parents have been a strong support system throughout her journey, and she has often spoken about the important role her family and early experiences have played in shaping her values and career aspirations.

Career

Adline Castelino began her pageantry career by participating in an online pageant in 2018. She then trained at the Cocoaberry Training Academy in Mumbai and was crowned Miss Cocoaberry Diva in 2019.

In 2019, Castelino competed in Miss Diva 2020, initially being selected as a city finalist in Chennai and later making it to the top 20 in Mumbai. She won the Miss Smasher award for her performance in badminton during the sports round. On February 22, 2020, she was crowned Miss Diva Universe 2020 by Vartika Singh.

As Miss Diva Universe 2020, Castelino represented India at the Miss Universe 2020 competition held at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Florida. During the finale on May 16, 2021, she advanced from the Top 21 to the Top 10 and eventually reached the Top 5, making her the first Indian to achieve this since 2001. She was named the third runner-up, with Andrea Meza of Mexico winning the title. Castelino’s placement marked India’s highest finish in Miss Universe since Lara Dutta's win in 2000, breaking a 20-year drought in the Top 5.
