The show is about how Priya Sood who lives with her mother, her sisters Sara, Maitri, and Sandy, and her cousin Akshay. Her father, Mahendra, left them and is now living with his second wife and son. Ram Kapoor is a successful businessman whose girlfriend, Vedika, dumped him. In the plot of the TV show, Khimji and Premji are shown to be best friends who live in the village of Devgarh, where Khimji is the sarpanch. Ratan, who is married to Khimji, is expecting their second child. Both families want a girl baby so that Jigar, Premji's five-year-old son, can marry her. Daughter Anandi is born after a hard and exciting birth. Both families like Anandi, which makes Jigar and his brother Gopal jealous. Jigar gets violent, but Gopal tries to get his attention in other ways. Premji asks Anandi to marry him when she turns forty days old, which is a very lucky time. Child marriage is a controversial practice in the village, but Khimji comes around and agrees with it. The ceremony takes place in private. Premji makes up with his family and moves back in with his father and sick mother.
The plot of the show is about Sandhya Kothari wanting to fulfill her father Arvind's dream of becoming an IPS officer. She is smart and wants to do well in school. Sooraj Rathi is the perfect elder heir for his traditional middle-class family in Pushkar, Rajasthan because he is simple and has only a little education. Later, Sandhya's heart breaks when a terrorist attack kills both of her parents. Her brother Ankur arranged for her to marry Sooraj, whose strict mother Santoshi wanted a simple, uneducated daughter-in-law who was good at being a housewife. So, Ankur lies about how much Sandhya knows.
