Abhimanyu Dassani is a Hindi cinema actor from India. He made his acting debut in 2018 with the action film Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota for which he received the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut. He is the son of actress Bhagyashree and Himalay.
He has recently appeared in the Netflix romantic comedy film Meenakshi Sundareshwar in 2021 and the action film Nikamma in 2022. After returning to India he resumed his studies at Anupam Kher's institute and later worked with Rohan Sippy on films such as Dum Maro Dum (2011) and Nautanki Saala (2012).

It is a 2018 Indian Hindi-language action comedy film written and directed by Vasan Bala and produced by RSVP Movies' Ronnie Screwvala. Abhimanyu Dassani Radhika Madan Gulshan Devaiah Mahesh Manjrekar and Jimit Trivedi make their cinematic debuts.

The film premiered at the 2018 Toronto International Film Festival in the Midnight Madness section where it received the People's Choice Award: Midnight Madness. The film was also shown at the MAMI Film Festival in 2018 where it garnered a standing ovation. The plot of the film follows a young guy who suffers from a unique illness known as Congenital insensitivity to pain and embarks on a journey to defeat his enemies. Abhimanyu Dassani Bhagyashree's son made his acting debut in the film.

The film had a 94% rating based on 18 reviews with an average rating of 6.9/10. Bloody Disgusting's Rafael Motamayor termed the film India's hugely entertaining answer to Deadpool.

Meenakshi Sundareshwar

It is a 2021 Indian Hindi-language romantic comedy film directed by Vivek Soni who co-wrote the script with Aarsh Vora and produced by Karan Johar Apoorva Mehta and Somen Mishra under the label Dharmatic Entertainment Johar's digital branch. The title actors Sanya Malhotra and Abhimanyu Dassani are a newlywed couple who are forced to live apart owing to a rare career opportunity and deal with the challenges that occur from their long-distance marriage.

Meenakshi Sundareshwar was released on Netflix on November 5 2021 to coincide with the Diwali holiday. The film got mixed reviews from critics and audiences who praised Dassani and Malhotra's performances and chemistry as well as the musical score and soundtrack setting location picturization and cinematography but panned the slow-paced and lengthy narration.
