Sangharsh Plot
The authorities are baffled and unable to solve the case after a string of killings and kidnappings of children. The CBI is given the case as a result, and Reet Oberoi, a trainee, is assigned to crack it. The evidence eventually points to Lajja Shankar Pandey, a religious zealot who thinks that infants should be sacrificed in order to achieve immortality. Reet is compelled to seek assistance from Professor Aman Verma, a prisoner who was wrongfully accused of being a genius, due to Pandey's erratic behaviour and her traumas.
Reet manages to persuade Aman to assist her despite his initial hostility against her and refusal. As she learns that Pandey has abducted the Home Minister's sole child, the case becomes even more difficult. Due to her horrific past and anxieties, Reet is unable to bear the pressure on her own. She also encounters hostility from the local police as a result of Verma's methods. He helps her face her concerns as they spend more time together, and they both fall in love.
They locate Pandey, who is preparing to make the final sacrifice on the day of a solar eclipse and is hoping it would finally grant him immortality. In order to save the infant, Aman and Reet eventually kill Pandey. Aman, however, suffers a deadly injury. Aman and Reet kiss before he passes away in her arms. Reet receives a hero's welcome and discovers a fresh outlook on life.
