Muthazhagan, a budding Indian actor, was born on January 11, 1992, in Tittagudi, Cuddalore district, to R Sivasubramanian and S Manimekalai. His early education transpired at Indian Matriculation School in Tittagudi, followed by secondary schooling at SRV School in Rasipuram. Employing "Muthazhagan" as his screen moniker, he pursued higher studies in Engineering at KCG College of Technology. Despite his academic path, Muthazhagan's fervor for acting steered him towards Chennai, where he currently resides. Notably, he also underwent training at Koothu Pattarai.

Venturing into the cinematic realm in 2014, Muthazhagan's silver screen journey materialized with his break in the film industry. His first significant opportunity emerged in the movie "Velaikkaran," helmed by director Mohan Raja of "Thani Oruvan" fame. In this venture, MZ secured a minor role as an Induction Stove Dealer, sharing screen space with renowned actors Sivakarthikeyan and Nayanthara. The success of "Velaikkaran," produced by 24 AM Studios under RD Raja's guidance, laid the foundation for his subsequent appearance in "NGK," directed by Selvaraghavan and featuring Suriya Sivakumar.

Muthazhagan's artistic contributions extended to films such as "Walter," where he played a notable part, and "Podhu Nalan Karudhi," directed by Zion and featuring Santhosh Pratap. Additionally, he graced the screen in "Adhae Kangal" alongside Kalaiyarasan Harikrishnan and "Enakku Vaaitha Adimaigal," sharing the spotlight with Jai. Among his achievements, Muthazhagan's latest cinematic endeavor is "Penguin," directed by Eashvar Karthic and starring Keerthy Suresh. Notably, in this film, he undertook a dual role, portraying both a masked man and an enigmatic character who imparts hints to Keerthy's character. As of 2020, Muthazhagan's cinematic journey has encompassed a total of ten films.
