A college student from a small village of Kurar supposedly acquired Sonarika's phone number and started sending her obscene text messages and photos.

This student tried other numbers to contact her after the actor blocked his original one. Finally Sonarika filed a case in February 2018. Since seven to eight months ago he has called and messaged her constantly. Sonarika was frustrated and terrified after receiving messages. It mentally affected her well-being. 

Sonarika Bhadoria said that he called her at least using 25 different numbers. He began calling my father and family after I turned off my phone for a few days. I ignored it at first but in February I went to the police and reported it.

The 23-year-old man was detained in his village and brought to Mumbai after the police obtained his call logs. He appeared in court and was ordered to remain in police custody. According to reports the accused wanted to wed the actor and when she declined he threatened to kill himself.

TV debut (2011-present)

In 2011 Bhadoria made her television debut as Abhilasha in Life OK's Tum Dena Saath Mera. Her role of Parvati in Devon Ke Dev...Mahadev helped her become well-known. In the year 2018 she played Mrinal in Prithvi Vallabh on Sony TV and Anarkali in Salim Anarkali on Colors TV.  She starred as Netra Sharma in Ishq Mein Marjawan in 2019.

Film debut (2017-present)

Bhadoria made her Telugu film debut in 2015 with the role of Parvathi in Jadoogadu. She was also cast by Bhimaneni Srinivasa Rao in the Telugu version of the 2012 blockbuster love drama Sundarapandian Speedunnodu. She received compliments for her performance when the movie was released in February 2016 with favourable reviews. Eedo Rakam Aado Rakam a successful Telugu movie was her second release of 2016. She agreed to star alongside Rajneesh Duggal in Rajiv S. Ruia's first Hindi film Saansein as the film's protagonist.

Bikini Picture (2016)

Sonarika likely anticipated admirers to appreciate her picture when she posted some bikini photos from a vacation to her Instagram account but she most definitely did not anticipate the backlash. Unfortunately after receiving criticism for her outfit choice the actress was forced by the trolling to delete the photo. 

However the actress made a point of stating that by condemning body shaming the West was taking a positive step forward. She did note that perhaps she lacks the maturity to handle the criticism which is why she removed the image.
