Afsana Khan is a Punjabi playback singer actress and songwriter from India. In 2012 she began her career as a contestant on the singing reality show Voice of Punjab Season 3. She is most known for her songs Titliaan written by Jaani and Dhakka co-authored with Sidhu Moose Wala. She appeared on the reality show Bigg Boss 15 in 2021.
Afsana Khan is aged 28 Years old as of 2022. She was born in Village Badal Sri Muktsar Sahib. Her zodiac sign is Sagittarius
After her father died when she was quite young she began singing at a very young age taking on the responsibility of supporting her family herself. Her love of singing began as a child because she hails from a musical family in which her grandfather was a singer and her father was also a vocalist.
Her primary education was provided by the Government Senior Secondary School in Sri Muktsar Sahib. She then went on to get a graduate degree from Chandigarh University while completing her studies. Despite being born into a low-income household Afsana is determined to fight her fate without giving up.
Late Sheera Khan was Afsana Khan's father's name. His father died when Afsana was a child. Even now she misses her father terribly. Asha Begum is Afsana Khan's mother and she still lives with him. Afsana's family consists of his mother one brother and four sisters.
Khudabaksh Afsana's brother is a fantastic vocalist who appeared on Sony TV's singing reality show Indian Idol Season 9. He was also a contestant on the show. Neetu Khan Raman Khan Razia Sultan and Raftaar Kaur are Afsana's other sisters.
Afsana Khan married her longtime boyfriend Saajz on February 19 2022 in a fairytale wedding. Since Afsana and Saajz's wedding the much-loved pair has been made news for their wedding videos and photos.
Saajz initially saw Afsana perform live on a show and was blown away by her incredible vocal abilities. He was thinking about how nice it would be to marry someone like Afsana at the time. He had no idea what fate had already prepared for him.
But that wasn't all; Afsana developed a crush on Saajz since she thought he was quite attractive. And when she had the opportunity to record a song at his studio she thoroughly enjoyed his company and remained longer than normal. Later she requested if he could drop her home and Saajz agreed.
Saajz performed several tricks on Afsana on the way back home as well as a humorous song.
When the pair got to their location Afsana asked Saajz to spend some more time with her. And she finally mustered the guts to ask him the ultimate and most anticipated question. She admitted that she likes him and Saajz replied that he would think about it, And Saajz's final response is crystal clear because that is the reason they are both together today.
Despite having no singing training her voice is quite melodious and enjoyable to listen to. She used to sing in her hamlet and the neighboring areas and her voice gradually gained recognition and she became well-known on a local level. Following that she was invited to compete in the third season of the singing reality show Voice of Punjab.
As a contestant in the competition Afsana sang well and captivated both the judges and the crowd with her voice. Her songs on the show were well-received and as a result she was able to place among the top five finalists. Afsana didn't require an introduction in Punjab after she returned from the event; everyone knew and recognized her.
Following this she performed in a series of performances around Punjab singing numerous super-hit songs that became fairly popular on YouTube. In 2015 Afsana was invited to compete in the Hindi television singing reality show The Rising Star Season 1 as a competitor. She did not however know or perform Bollywood songs before auditioning for the show.
Later she prepared for the audition by singing the Bollywood song Jag Suna Suna Lage and she was chosen for the show because she did so. On the basis of his outstanding performance she advanced to the top 7 of the show.
Afsana appeared on the singing reality show Voice of Punjab Season 3 in 2012 and finished in the top 5. Khan competed as a competitor in the singing reality show Rising Star Season 1 in 2017 finishing in the Top 7. During an interview Afsana revealed that she didn't know a single Bollywood song when she auditioned for the competition. She prepared the song Jag Suna Suna Lage on the spot at the auditions and was chosen for the show. She then began singing for numerous labels in the Punjabi music industry.
'Titliaan' is one of Afsana Khan's most recent songs. The song which features Harrdy Sandhu and Sargun Mehta is a melancholy romantic number. On the one hand the song's melody and theme are very heartfelt yet Afsana Khan's voice portrays the suffering quite nicely. It's no surprise that the song quickly tugged at the heartstrings.
Afsana Khan's 'Bazaar' is another sad romantic song. It stars Himanshi Khurana and Yuvraaj Hans in the key roles. It told a story of deceit and betrayal that touched everyone's heart. And once again it was Afsana Khan's vocals that perfectly emoted the sorrow of betrayal leaving many people in tears.
