Nyra Banerjee is a popular Indian actress and an assistant director. Nyra changed her name from Madhuurima Banerjee to Nyra Banerjee in the year 2016. Nyra’s date of birth is 14th May, 1987. Nyra was born and brought up in Mumbai, Maharashtra.
Nyra Banerjee acted in the Bollywood movie, One Night Stand. She also assisted director Tony D’Souza for his film, Azhar.
Nyra made her feature movie debut in Aa Okkadu, a Telugu comedy film, which was a moderate success. After that she went on to act in several Telugu films including Saradaga Kasepu in 2010.

Banerjee learned Hindustani classical music and ghazal from her mother and used to sing children's songs. While recording a song one day, she was spotted by famous director G. V. Iyer who signed her on for the Hindi television serial Kadambari. She learned Kathak for some time.
Nyra pursued her Bachelor of Laws with an LLB degree from Pravin Gandhi College of Law in Mumbai.
In 2012, Nyra's second Bollywood film, Kamaal Dhamaal Malamaal, directed by Priyadarshan, released.
In 2014, Nyra was first seen in her Telugu film, Veta. Her first Kannada release was Savaari 2 and her first Malayalam release was Koothara. She then starred in Maruthi's Kotha Janta starring Allu Sirish and made her special appearance in Green Signal which was co-produced by Maruti.
In early 2015, Nyra was seen in Puri Jagannadh's Temper, which was very successful and for which she was critically acclaimed. She then appeared in two Tamil films, Serndhu Polama helmed by Malayalam director Anil Kumar and Sundar C's Aambala.
In 2019, she was seen playing the role of Divya in Divya Drishti on Star Plus. She was starred opposite to Sana Sayed. She acted in web series Zaban Sambhalke and Skyfire.
In 2020, she was the lead role of the serial, Excuse Me Maadam.
Nyra appeared on the cover of various magazines like ‘Tulip’, etc. She also worked in different languages like Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam.
