Anand Tiwari directed the 2018 Indian romantic comedy Love Per Square Foot, which Ronnie Screwvala produced through his recently launched RSVP Movies label. Vicky Kaushal and Angira Dhar play the key characters in the movie, which is about Sanjay and Karina looking for a home in Mumbai but without the funds to do so independently. As a result, they enter into a marriage of convenience. It also has Ratna Pathak Shah, Kunaal Roy Kapur, Gajraj Rao and Gopal Datt in supporting roles along with Ranbir Kapoor making a cameo appearance.

Sanjay Kumar Chaturvedi, an IT engineer, and Karina D'souza are the main characters of the movie. They both work for the same bank and have an ambition of owning a home, but obstacles in their personal life prevent them from realising this dream. Sanjay's supervisor, Rashi Khurana, is having an extramarital affair with him but won't leave her husband, Kashin, while Karina is engaged to Samuel and her mother Blossom is continually preventing her from achieving her ambition of owning a property. Everything changes when Sanjay asks Karina to apply for a shared housing programme with him after learning about it. She consents, and as they attempt to purchase the flat as an unmarried couple, the movie depicts different issues they encounter.
