The story starts with Virat who is a covert agent with the Defence Intelligence. During a bus ride, Virat searches for a missing wallet and discovers something much more significant. In a matter of minutes, the bus is blown to shreds, and he assists law enforcement in apprehending the bomb courier who flees the hospital only to be apprehended once more by Virat. Virat uses tact to follow each clue in an effort to identify the terrorist who will be responsible for the sleeper cell terrorists' attacks in Mumbai.

Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty got an IMDB rating of 7.2 out of 10. The film ended up making approximately rupees 170 crores in total at the box office.
