Play

The plot takes place in a small-town colony known as Rajat Vihar, and the main protagonists are Dev, an average bank clerk, and Meher, his energetic and passionate neighbour. Their lives take an unexpected turn when they meet each other.

As Dev and Meher interact more, they develop a deep connection and slowly fall in love. Their relationship blossoms amidst fun-filled moments, romantic gestures, and heartfelt conversations. However, Meher's ex-boyfriend, a charming and good-looking guy, reenters her life.

To complicate things further, Meher drops a bombshell: she has been accepted into a prestigious fashion course in Italy. Meher is convinced that long-distance relationships don't work and is torn between her dreams and her love for Dev.

Review

Ishq Next Door is a romantic comedy experience that is easygoing and humorous throughout. The series is interesting to watch, despite having a narrative that is rather predictable and minimally developed, and it runs for a total of ten episodes, each of which is roughly twenty minutes long. The lovely relationship that exists between Dev and his younger brother Chhuttan, as well as the entertaining competition that exists between Ashwin and Dev, are two of the director's most successful tools for keeping spectators interested.

However, the series does fall short in terms of its narrative. The story feels somewhat plain and lacks the depth needed to truly captivate the audience. Many of the plot points and twists feel predictable, leaving viewers with the sense of having seen it all before.
