Introduction

Plot 

The biographical thriller movie Neerja is based on the true account of Neerja Bhanot, a flight attendant who helped save passengers' lives during the 1986 hijacking of Pan Am Flight 73 in Karachi, Pakistan. Sonam Kapoor's Neerja, who would be working as a flight attendant in New York City, is followed in the movie as she gets ready for her journey.The hijacking of the plane by four terrorists, however, makes matters worse. Numerous passengers on the plane are saved by Neerja's quick thinking and bravery in the face of peril. While putting her own life in danger, she also makes several attempts to get in touch with the authorities and inform them of the situation.
