Harsha Khandeparkar was cast in the lead character of the show, and so plays “Neelanjana. " Harsha later went on to play Rajshree Goradia, one of the main characters, opposite Manish Raisinghan in the STAR One programme Hum Dono Hain Alag Alag, which aired in 2009.
In addition to Yash Pandit and Dimple Jhangiani, the show featured Yash Pandit and Dimple Jhangiani in lead roles. Harsha Khandeparkar did not limit herself to positive lead roles; in one of Colors TV's longest-running shows, Uttaran, she played the grey character of "Sanchi. "
Harsha Khandeparkar had auditioned for the show with co-star Sharad Kelkar, who played her brother. Her character was on the show for around six months.
