Yaariyan 2, a standalone sequel to the coming-of-age romantic drama released in 2014, was announced recently. Divya Kumar Khosla will play the lead actress in the movie this time. In addition, she is a producer alongside her husband Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, and Aayush Maheshwari.

The movie's release was officially announced by the release of a motion poster on Wednesday, October 12. The 47-second video clip was released by T-Series' official social media account with the caption, "Cousins by blood, friends by choice! #Yaariyan 2 is brought to you by a true friendship and family bond. The poster shows various forms of transportation, including a car, a bus, and a train. Additionally, it gives us a preview of the song "Teri Talaash Mein," which appears in the movie.

In his first Hindi film, Bengali actor Yash Dasgupta will star opposite Divya. Anaswara Rajan, Warina Hussain, Priya Varrier, Meezaan Jafri, and Pearl V Puri will all have significant roles in Yaariyaan 2.

Yaariyan 2's release date was also disclosed by T-series along with the movie's motion poster. The movie, which is currently being filmed, is scheduled for a May 12, 2023, theatrical release.

The plot of the movie hasn't been extensively discussed by the film's creators. According to rumors, the upcoming sequel's story will diverge significantly from that of the first installment. Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru, who are also financing the movie under their Rao & Sapru Film banner with T-Series, are in charge of directing it.
