In the 2003 Malayalam war movie War and Love, which Vinayan directed, Dileep, Prabhu, Laila, Mukesh Rishi, Kalabhavan Mani, and Siddique all appear. It was made available on November 26, 2003. It has an IMDb rating of 2.3 out of 10.

The war between India and Pakistan starts at the beginning of the movie when Pakistani terrorists kill Major Rajendran on the Indo-Pakistan border. A battalion from the Pakistani Army under the command of General Jaffer Khan is sent to seize a village on the Indian side of the Line of Control. Brigadier Nair of the Indian Army commands the Madras Regiment to retake the village. Captain Gopinath, Major Prabhakar, Captain Kabir, Captain Vijayan, Havildar Kurian, Private Basheer, Naik Haneefa, Havildar Prashanthan, Naik Kunjunni, Captain Hema, and Private Shankar are all members of the Madras Regiment.

After a bloody gun battle in which all of the Pakistani soldiers are killed, the regiment takes back the village. During the conflict, Prabhakar and Kunjunni pass away. This failure has infuriated Jaffer Khan, who intends to capture the entire Madras Regiment intact. He phones Indian Army Colonel Mushtaq Muhammad, an ISI agent, and offers him 50,000,000 rupees in exchange for taking the Madras Regiment.

With the exception of Gopinath and Vijayan, Mushtaq Muhammad devises a scheme that results in the capture of the whole Madras Regiment. Mushtaq is killed by Gopi, who is then kidnapped by Pakistanis. To be tortured, all prisoners of war are transported to a camp in Pakistan. They are made to perform labour like slaves. The Pakistanis murdered Kurian, Hema, Haneefa, Kabir, and Haneef. 

Mansoor Akthar, a prominent terrorist from Pakistan, enters the camp. Serina, the lovely daughter of Jaffer Khan, also shows there. Mansoor is going to sexually assault her when Gopi kills him by tossing a large boulder on his head. While Gopi plans to utilise it to help his country, Serina develops feelings for him. Since Jaffer Khan's father moved from Malappuram to Pakistan during the Partition, Serina is familiar with Malayalam.

Captain Vijayan penetrates the Pakistani military and learns that if Pakistan loses the conflict with India, they will deploy nuclear weapons. Serina assists Gopi in gaining access to the missile's defusing codes. The full-scale conflict between the Pakistani army and the Indian POWs Vijayan freed is the plot's climax.

Finally, Gopi defuses the nuclear bomb, wiping out the whole Pakistani army. Sharath murders Jaffer Khan, who later succumbs to his wounds. Only Gopi, Serina, and Vijayan survive the explosion that destroys the whole Pakistani camp. India wins the war, and upon Gopi's return to India, he is presented with the Param Vir Chakra. Marries Serina is Gopi. Serina shouts 'Bharat Mata Ki Jai' as the movie comes to a close.
