The Raikar Case centres on a traditional whodunnit plot with many twists and turns. But is there a real-life story that inspired this TV show?

The Raikar Case centres on the tale of the Raikar family, who suffered a great sorrow with the death of Tarun Raikar, the family's youngest son. Although the series' teaser makes it clear that it is based on real events, it is crucial to understand that it only employs a few hazy descriptions of the case itself.

Goa serves as the setting for the Raikar Case television series, and Ratnakar Raikar was actually killed there as well. The murder occurred in 2012 due to selfish intentions, and the show similarly follows a similar plot line but exploits the Raikar brand to lure viewers and present them with a narrative that is very different from the genuine event.
