Super Singer 8 is a Tamil TV reality singing competition that through a series of nationwide auditions, aims to find Tamil Nadu's top playback recording voice and singing ability. 

In order to be chosen to perform through the season finale of the show, selected contestants are expected to compete in a number of rounds, frequently based on a particular week's theme.

As well as various rewards like cash payouts, gold jewelry, and real estate, the competition's winners and finalists have been given the opportunity to perform in upcoming Tamil movies.

Super Singer was first aired in the year 2006. On 24th January 2021, Super Singer Season 8 1st episode was aired on Star Vijya Channel. Super Singer 8 is also available on OTT platforms like Disney + Hotstar. The TV show is as long as 63 episodes.
