The story follows NRI Zaroon Shah who travelled to India to see Kaynaat Shah in order to fulfill his father's wish. When he gets there, he sees Kaynaat's cousin Saltanat, who looks just like her and instantly falls in love with her. Zaroon is perplexed by Kaynaat's differences after viewing her. Kaynaat was orthodox and led a typical, conventional lifestyle. Saltanat was a modern free spirit who established her own rules and regulations. Zaroon declines to wed Kaynaat. Saltanat also develops feelings for him. They make the decision to wed. Despite her best efforts, Kaynaat's scheme against Saltanat fails to keep them apart. Saltanat soon learns of her plots.
