Sooryavansham is a Hindi language romantic musical drama movie starring Amitabh Bachchan.

E. V. V. Satyanarayana  is the director and the story was written by Vikraman. The producer of the Indian movie Sooryavansham is G. Adiseshagiri Rao. The main Sooryavansham casts include Amitabh Bachchan, Soundarya, Jayasudha Mukesh Rishi, Kader khan, Anupam Kher, etc.

The plot revolves around the journey of Heera in which he falls short of the standards set by his father Thakur Bhanupratap Singh, a strong and well-respected figure in his neighbourhood. Heera fights against all odds to preserve his father's honour.

The story follows around the Sooryavansh dynasty which has ruled the villages and its citizens justly and fairly for many years. Thakur Bhanupratap Singh is the leader of this generation .  He has three kids, the youngest of them, Heera , he views as the family's "black sheep" and illiterate member, and with whom he will not interact. When Heera asks to marry his ward Gauri, he is furious. He is even more furious when Heera backs down, although at Gauri's insistence. He eventually marries Radha (Soundarya), who also pushes him to live independently and supports the growth of his firm. They soon receive the blessing of a son's birth. Heera realises his father's desire to build a free hospital for the needy. After learning about his grandchild, Bhanupratap meets him in secret. Then, one day, Bhanupratap is rushed to the hospital after consuming kheer that Heera appears to have poisoned, and Heera is named as the main suspect in what may turn out to be his father's passing.
