Jagdeep Sidhu wrote and directed the 2019 romantic comedy Shadaa, which was co-produced by A & A Advisors and Brat Films. The movie, which stars Diljit Dosanjh and Neeru Bajwa,alongside Ravinder Mand tells the tale of a common man looking for a wife and what happens when he weds a woman who believes marriage is lovely. In supporting parts, Shadaa also stars Jagjeet Sandhu, Anita Devgn, and Hardeep Gill.

The movie's main photography started on September 30, 2018, and it was finished on May 8, 2019.

A young guy named Chadta searches for his ideal partner against pressure from his parents to hasten his marriage. His parents are thrilled when their son finally meets the woman, Vanjhali, of his dreams after numerous unsuccessful attempts with matchmakers, but events do not turn out as expected. In a wedding, Chadta and Vanjhali become close. Chadta is a photographer, and Vanjhali plans weddings. Chadta wants to wed her, but Vanjhali opposes marriage and advises Chadta to stay with her. They grow close during a Rajasthani wedding where they were coworkers. Chadta is persuaded by Vanjhali that marriage is a failing institution. She soon becomes engaged to Bagh Singh. Bagh is a lover who had a disastrous marriage in the past.

Although he is not very interested in getting married, he accepts to wed Vanjhali since she is wealthy and because he will then become a house husband and live in her spacious home. Chadta is tasked with taking the pre-wedding pictures. He expresses gratitude to Bagh for welcoming Vanjhali despite being aware of her living with Chadta. Her wedding is postponed due to this cunning comment. Mother of Vanjhali is certain that Vanjhali must wed Chadta in order to preserve the family name. Despite his love for Vanjhali, Chadta acts as though he doesn't want to get married. Vanjhali disappears on the day of their wedding because she refuses to marry Chadta against her will.

When Chadta encounters Vanjhali in a dhaba as she is travelling to Shimla, he confesses his love for her and how he called off her wedding to Bagh Singh. Finally, they tie the knot.
