Each story centres on a character who is living an incomplete life and searching for something, whether it be love, sensual pleasures, safety, or just closure. Examples include a man who is ashamed of being a prostitute's son and has an awakening in a place he hates the most; a 69-year-old who is unapologetic about his sexual desires and refuses to be shamed by society; a jilted lover who accepts reality and decides to start a new chapter in his life. Each of these protagonists visits a brothel for the first time in their life, even though they appear in different storylines, and finally finds guidance and comfort from sex workers. Regardless of the pleasurable or provocative nature of their encounters, one night ends up permanently altering their perspective.
