The Ekta Yatra, which unites all Indians, is also led by him. He marches to the Lal Chowk while battling the terrorists with the Indian Army and a few other individuals, and he places the Indian flag there.
To assist people and garner support, he fights and on the ground in numerous Gujarati communities. The BJP wins the Gujarat CM elections as a result of the people's and BJP members' cooperation, and Keshubhai Patel is elected as the state's new chief executive. Seeing Modi's ascent to fame and popularity soon makes him feel uneasy. He compels the three men who founded the BJP, Atal Bihari Vajpayee, L. K. Advani, and Murli Manohar Joshi, to move Modi to a different location. In his sadness, Modi files his resignation, which is ultimately rejected because of the extensive work he had already done for the party. He was relocated to New Delhi for setting up a shop.
A month before the Gujarat earthquake of 2001, he travelled back from Delhi to Gujarat. He took over from Keshubhai Patel in that role and was selected as the Chief Minister candidate for the next election.
He had to deal with the 2002 Gujarat riots immediately after his election. He requested assistance from the federal government and other state governments but in vain. He was able to put an end to the violence thanks to his careful planning and strict law enforcement. A terrorist attack on the Akshardham Temple shortly after the riots had finished caused tensions between the groups once more. He was eventually chosen as the CM candidate for the approaching election, which led to his appointment as Chief Minister once the tensions were finally resolved, peace was restored among the populace, and work on reconstruction and additional developments were started from his position.
Roads were built, employment possibilities were created, numerous Indian and foreign businesses started investing in Gujarat, corruption was eradicated, security was tightened, etc. The BJP leaders approached him about running for prime minister in the 2014 general election in India after viewing his work.
