In the meantime, Kalyani, who comes from a nearby town and comes from a musical family, is set to be married to him by his father.
Vijay, meanwhile, lands a position as a music teacher in Ooty. There he meets Swapna, the girl of his dreams. She accepts his proposal when he falls in love with her. He returns home to tell his family of his affection, but his family plans the wedding with Kalyani instead. Later, Swapna discovers that her true love and Kalyani's fiancé are the same. In reality, Swapna and Kalyani are sisters. Then, Swapna gives up her love and tells her sister that she is dying. As a final request, she requests that Vijay marry Kalyani. Kalyani also finds out that Vijay has feelings for Swapna, her younger sister. Ultimately, Kalyani persuades her sister to wed Vijay, and the movie comes to a joyful conclusion.
