The 2018 action-war movie Paltan was written, produced, and directed by J. P. Dutta. Based on the 1962 Sino-Indian War, the 1967 Nathu La and Cho La confrontations along the Sikkim border. Jackie Shroff, Arjun Rampal, Sonu Sood, Siddhanth Kapoor, Harshvardhan Rane, Sonal Chauhan, Dipika Kakar, and many others are among the cast members.

The movie is based on conflicts between Indian and Chinese forces in 1967 in the areas of Nathu La and Cho La, when Indian forces triumphed and prevented Chinese forces from invading Indian territory.

The film received positive reviews from the families of the soldiers involved in the war. It was also praised by the critics but did not fare well at the box office, earning only close to 10.5 crore rupees against a budget of 14 crore rupees.
