The story follows the daughter of a shepherd who pastures his livestock close to the town of Palashi is Bhagi. She is in the tenth grade and has developed her physical strength while grazing cattle in the mountains. Bhagi insisted on holding the tournament and was taunted by the P.T. instructor, who said, ‘Don't believe you are a P.T. Usha (renowned Indian sprint runner) of Palashi.’ The interschool running competition was only finished on paper by the P.T. teacher. She placed second in the competition, but the physical education teacher declined to represent her at the district level; instead, the job was handed to a teacher of drawing. She persisted in her fight without stopping, and at the district level, she took first place. Her father arranged her marriage in the interim.
