When Dr. Mrityunjoy (Joy) Mukherjee and his wife Sona learn that Sona is pregnant, they are over the moon, but their joy is fleeting. With evidence and bodies discovered buried in his home, Joy is apprehended for the repeated murders of pregnant unmarried women. Joy argues that he is innocent, but no attorney will take his case until he advises Sona to get in touch with one of his clients, renowned attorney Rastogi, who is currently unable to attend hearings because of a cardiac collapse. 

While Shona is certain that Inspector Shahid Imran, her ex-boyfriend, who seeks vengeance on her, is behind the investigation, Rastogi's expertise also fails to free Joy. Sona attempts the killer Modusoprandhi by kidnapping an unmarried Anushka who is pregnant in order to persuade the court that Joy is innocent and the serial killer is still out there.
