Along with his pal Riya, Sanjay Malhotra resides in Mumbai. Anjali Sharma, a friend from their youth, calls him and breaks the news that she is getting married, shocking him. Sanjay has, regrettably, loved Anjali for a long time. Sanjay travels to Anjali because he is envious of her and wants to dissuade her from getting married.

Sanjay visits Anjali's house and shortly meets Rohit Khanna, her fiancé. Sanjay is frequently chastised and affectionately admonished for acting like a playboy, and no one takes him seriously. Then Sanjay starts to plan. He plans a bachelor party for Rohit and the family's male members. Rohit becomes fully inebriated. He realises that Sanjay is trying to break up their marriage and swears to ensure that Sanjay is unsuccessful. Anjali is made to feel envious by Sanjay and Riya in an effort to convince her that she loves him.

Riya reveals to Anjali during the Mehendi ceremony that she and Sanjay were not romantically involved. Anjali says that despite the fact that Sanjay was the love of her life, he never realised it and simply saw her as his best friend. When Rohit finds out about this, he is devastated. Rohit informs Anjali's mother that Anjali always desired Sanjay's marriage from the bottom of their hearts and that she and her daughter shared that desire.

Anjali departs for Mumbai in her wedding dress to meet Sanjay after learning of his absence from her wedding. He is asked by her why he departed. Sanjay declares his love for her and says he cannot imagine her getting married to anyone else. Both then declare their love for one another. Despite failing in his challenge, Rohit is still joyful about their relationship. At the wedding of their best friends, Sanjay and Anjali, Rohit and Ria perform songs and dances.
