'Langar' sheds light on the mistreatment of children from a particular community in a village where parents sacrifice their kids to God in order to uphold religious promises. After reaching puberty, one such girl named Malan, who is enrolled in school, is offered by her father to God's service, much to the displeasure of her mother. 

The movie does have a social message and criticises blind faith and similar traditions. The filmmaker makes a conscientious attempt to choose the best settings to make an effect. But the main character's opposition isn't really dealt with anything in the movie.

‘Langar’ is a festival kind of art film and not a mainstream cinema. Thus, individuals who enjoy these kinds of movies and are curious about the folklore of rural areas can enjoy this one.
