An Indian television programme called Kuchh Is Tara ran on Sony TV from November 2007 to August 2008. It was created by Balaji Telefilms and stars Dimple Jhangiani, Akashdeep Saigal, Vishal Singh, Sudha Chandran and Jatin Shah, among others, as its cast members. It has an IMDb rating of 6.5 out of 10.

From a middle-class household, Kanya Godbole seeks to assist her hotel employer by posing as her daughter and signing a merger deal on their behalf. But she develops feelings for Ayan Nanda, an affluent young guy. She keeps her relationship status a secret from him out of concern that he won't be interested in continuing their relationship. Later, she makes the decision to write him the truth, but he never receives it. Shortly before their wedding, the truth is revealed, and Ayan's mother makes him break up with Kanya. Kanya meets Ayan's youthful, cynical uncle Ranbir when she is still in Ayan's short-lived relationship. They argue regularly and have a horrible relationship beginning.

All of Ranbir's life, he has hated the idea of love. His mother threatens to disinherit him if he doesn't find a wife in the next three days after she grows tired of his persistent refusal to get married. Though he and Kanya are horrified by the suggestion, they nonetheless concur. She wants to defend her family's reputation after accusations that she seduced Ayan for money, and he wants to protect his wealth. Ranbir and Kanya's wedding is followed by a lot of funny situations. When they are by themselves, they are constantly making fun of one another.

It soon becomes clear that Kanya has multiple personality disorder. Her alter ego, Natasha, is an ardent feminist who fights for justice for Kuchh Is Tarahused and downtrodden women. Kanya transforms into Natasha if she sees flames or fire in any place. Ranbir wants to know who she really is, so he writes Natasha a letter in which he accuses him of Kuchh Is Tarahusing his wife under the name Ranbir Nanda. He thinks that if she pursued him in this manner, he would be Kuchh Is Tarahle to see her face. Indeed, Natasha designates him as her upcoming target.

Kanya and Ranbir are in the midst of a slow love affair. Finally, they express their love for one another. Ranbir eventually learns Kanya is Natasha one evening. He reassures Kanya's frightened parents, meanwhile, that he wants to live out the rest of his days with her. In a grandiose ceremony, Ranbir and Kanya rekindle their vows. Akshay, a London-based psychiatrist, is invited by Ranbir to treat Kanya. However, Ranbir and Kanya should split up since Akshay has other ideas. Akshay makes a suggestion that Natasha is not Kanya's alter ego, but the reverse. Prior to being adopted by her parents, Kanya allegedly resided in London as Natasha and was seeing a man.

Ranbir is distraught as Akshay leaves with Natasha. She appears in front of everyone just as they are mourning the loss of Kanya. Shanta Tai smugly explains that she visited London and ran into one of Akshay's coworkers, who gave her the full story on Akshay's relationship with Natasha in the past. By fighting Akshay and bringing Kanya back, Shanta Tai was Kuchh Is Tarahle to stop Akshay and Natasha from travelling to the airport. According to a psychiatrist, Kanya's illness is treatKuchh Is Tarahle, but it will take some time. Reuniting Ranbir and Kanya brings the show to a close.
