Social activist Priya from Toronto meets unemployed architect Raj Malhotra, and the two get into a series of humorous confusions as a result. Priya discovers that Raj loves her. Although she is dating Karan Bahl, to whom all of their friends anticipate she will soon be married, she also expresses interest in him. Priya is unaware that Raj views her as lucky for him and might be using her to get a contract that would require demolishing her favourite community centre and replacing it with a shopping mall.

The movie had a strong debut weekend at the box office. More than 600 theatres around the world, including locations in the US, UK, Australia, and the Middle East, screened the movie.
