Khabardar is a 2005 Marathi comedy thriller movie directed and produced by Mahesh Kothare for Jenma Films International. Gauri Shingarpure, Bharat's boss, is never pleased with his job and constantly expects more from him. Bharat is a great reporter for the Khabardar newspaper and provides it with the perfect headline. Bharat is in love with Priyanka and spends all of his time with her. Maruti Kamble is a truck driver who lives with his wife Tulsi, two daughters, and his mother. He leads a straightforward life but lacks privacy with his wife because of his mother. Bharat and Maruti meet and then become close buddies. Bharat is tired of his boss and quits his job to tie the knot with Priyanka by becoming the son-in-law of their home.

When Maruti arrives at the cottage where the passenger is waiting, he recognises him as wanted criminal Anna Chimbori. As a witness to the murder, Maruti also discovers that the local minister More had protected him before killing him with Inspector Pisal's assistance. More and Pisal then accuse Maruti of the crime, leaving him defenceless. The only way for Maruti to survive right now is to speak with Bharat and tell him the truth, but Bharat has already resigned from his position as a reporter, so who can help Maruti?
