Jhansi Ki Rani is a television series depicting the life of Lakshmi Bai, the Rani of Jhansi, an Indian warrior queen. The programme, which stars Anushka Sen, premiered on Colors TV on February 11, 2019. The programme aired its final episode on July 12, 2019, after 110 episodes.

The show follows Manikarnika, a female warrior who rises to become Rani Lakshmi Bai. Manikarnika opens the narrative by taking the British flag and replacing it with their own. The British are enraged, and they are on the lookout for the culprit who burned their flag. Manu marries King Gangadhar Rao of Jhansi as part of her trip, gaining the ability to fight for the freedom of Jhansi as well as the rest of India. She becomes Queen of Jhansi, one of the most prosperous kingdoms in India, but still under British authority. Despite the limitations of customary female duties, she confronts both traitors to Jhansi and the British.
