IFBB PRO are cardholders of IFBB that administers many of the sport's biggest international competitions, including the World and Continental Championships. It is an international professional sports regulatory body for bodybuilding and fitness.

Ben and Joe Weider, two Canadian brothers, established the International Federation of Bodybuilders (IFBB) in Montreal, Canada, in 1946. Canada and the United States were the two founding nations. The first president of the IFBB was Ben Weider.

Varinder Singh Ghuman was the first Indian IFBB Pro. Junaid Kaliwala, Sunit Jadhav, Anwar Albulushi, Manoj Sarangapani, Masqud Shah, Rita Jairath, etc. are among the other IFBB Pros card holders in India.

More than 2,500 tournaments are held by the IFBB each year at the local, national, regional, continental, and world championship levels. The IFBB has sanctioned competitions for numerous sports disciplines, many of which are divided into juniors, seniors, and masters divisions.

The International Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness was the IFBB's new name in 2004, although the initials "IFBB" remained.
