Hockey players are professional sports players in the international game of Hockey.

The word "hockey" is used to describe a variety of team sports played in the summer and winter that were first played on a dry surface, like a gym floor, an ice sheet, or an outdoor field.

Hockey players use various equipment for protection which includes shoulder pads and jockstraps for men while a jill for female players. Other equipment basically includes the hockey stick, a puck or a ball, and roller skates specifically for roller hockey.
