Hirkani is a Marathi historical drama movie from the year 2019 and is directed by Prasad Oak.

The film tells the true story of a mother during the reign of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj who scaled the steep edges of the Raigad fort to reach out to her baby, oblivious to her own life. Her bravery was recognized with the title 'Hirkani.'

Directed by Prasad Oak, the movie is produced by Falguni Patel under the production banner of Irada Entertainment. The main Hirkani cast includes Sonalee Kulkarni, Makrand Deshpande, Ameet Khedekar, Prasad Oak, Jitendra Joshi, and Vimal Mhatre among many others.

The story follows Hirkani, a milkmaid who lived in a village near the fort of Raigad. For their daily work, the villagers had to cross the fort's gates leading to the road. According to Shivaji Maharaj's orders, the fort's gates would open in the morning and close in the evening. Hirkani arrived late one day after selling her milk in the market because the gates were closed and would reopen only in the morning. She had to return because she had left her child alone in the house. Hirkani bravely climbed the massive fort, bruising herself. Inspired by her bravery story, Shivaji Maharaj erected the Hirkani Buruj wall in her honor.
