The 2007 Hindi-language sports drama film Dhan Dhana Dhan Goal was made for UTV Motion Pictures by Vivek Agnihotri and produced by Ronnie Screwvala. John Abraham, Bipasha Basu, Arshad Warsi, Dalip Tahil, and Boman Irani all appear in the movie.

Sunny Bhasin's parents, Jaidev and Kavita Bhasin, have a middle-class existence in Southall, England.

Jaidev was a great supporter of the all-Asian Southall Football Club in the middle of the 1980s. Because of the club's success, rival mainstream Caucasian clubs harboured animosity against it and turned on Jaidev and Tony Singh, the team's star player.

The squad was disbanded as a result, and the venue was later rented for weddings and birthday celebrations. Jaidev urged Sunny to sign for Southall, but Sunny chose the Aston Football Club since he felt like a British citizen.

When it's time to make a choice, Sunny, also known as 'Paki,' is passed over. He joins the Southall Club after becoming discouraged, and together with Captain Shaan Ali Khan and Coach Tony Singh, they lead the squad to several successes, including a spot in the semifinals.

The Southall team learns that Sunny has joined a more prestigious club in exchange for a flashy sports car, a four-bedroom mansion, a hefty signing bonus, and a large weekly allowance, shortly before they are scheduled to face Gatwick.

As a result, Southall must hand over its property to the chair of the city council, who wants to demolish it and replace it with a mall and theme park. The result of his acts is that he is shunned by the community for his treachery and is treated with contempt and disgust.

Sunny does, however, finally learn the truth behind his father's criticism of and support for Southall. Deeply moved, he decides to break his contract and returns home to help Southall defeat Aston in the championship game in an effort to make amends with his teammates and town.
