Fab India is an Indian Retail business that sells clothing, home goods, fabrics, and cultural items manufactured by local artisans throughout rural India. 

John Bissell, an American working for the Ford Foundation in New Delhi, founded Fabindia in 1960. Fabindia first focused on exporting home furnishings until entering the domestic retail market in 1976 with the opening of its first store in Greater Kailash. 

William Nanda Bissell, the son of John Bissell, serves as the company's chairman. 327 locations in India and 14 outlets abroad were run by Fabindia as of July 2020.

Madhulika Sharma, Ravi Goswami, Anaika Nair, Zenia, Nikita Seti, etc. are a few models who worked for Fabindia.

The majority of Fabindia's products come from villages, supporting the creation and maintenance of rural jobs in India. Over 40,000 artists and crafters in India currently create them. Hand-made goods also promote excellent craftsmanship.

In 2014, Fabindia debuted the "Fabels" brand of western clothing. The brand was initially introduced in the Fabindia store in Delhi's Connaught Place, and it was then made available throughout India. 

Fabindia had a reputation for producing clothing from hand-woven and hand-printed fabrics by the early 1980s. Organic foods, which were a logical extension of Fabindia's devotion to traditional techniques and skills, were added in 2004, followed by personal care goods in 2006.
