Shashi Sumeet Productions is the creator of the Indian television programme Ek Rishta Aisa Bhi, which is now airing on Sony Pal. The Bhopal-based programme ran from 1 September 2014 through 13 February 2015. Preeti Chaudhary, Rahul Sharma, Amrita Prakash, Divya Naaz, Divyangana Jain, and Anshul Trivedi make up the ensemble cast of the TV serial.

Sonia manages a fancy dress shop in addition to living with her five sisters. Sonia took care of her sisters when their parents passed away. She has therefore made the decision to marry off her sisters before looking for a spouse. Leading apparel designer Ratna Roy places an order with the dress shop to decorate her home for a festival. Raghav is Ratna's son. Sonia's sisters mistakenly believe that Raghav is Sonia's boyfriend as a result of several misunderstandings. Even though Raghav and Sonia don't know each other, Sonia caves in and tells her sisters that his name is Bobby ji.

A few weeks later, Khan Chacha, an old friend of Raghav's deceased father and the proprietor of the restaurant next to Sonia's shop, hires Raghav as an apprentice. The sisters quickly run across Raghav and take him for Bobby Ji, so they become buddies. Raghav eventually learns the truth from Sonia and offers to assist her. They eventually fall in love and are married.

Raghav's family members are won over by Sonia's sense of duty and love for each and every member of his family. She assures Raghav's mother that she will do whatever it takes to bring Abhiman, Raghav's estranged brother, back into the fold. The younger sister of Sonia, Deepika, and Abhiman fall in love. When Abhiman learns the truth about his mother's sacrifices for the family, he becomes unhappy and flees the house, but Sonia and Deepika pursue him. Lost in thought, Sonia risks her life to save Raghav when he is about to be struck by a car, but she eventually dies in the collision, leaving Raghav, his family, and her sisters devastated.

As a result of Sonia's passing, Deepika and Abhiman decide to split up, while Raghav decides to leave his own home and focus on taking care of her sisters. Due to their hatred of Abhiman, whom they believe to be responsible for Sonia's passing, Raghav and his sisters relocate into Sonia's previous home. Abhiman, who is responsible for the family's suffering, resolves to invite Raghav home once more. Despite his several attempts to assist them, they are unforgiving of him.

Ek Rishta Aisa Bhi ran for almost 6 months and had average viewership. It ran for 133 episodes and was eventually called off on 13 February 2015. Ek Rishta Aisa Bhi has an IMDb rating of 7.2 out of 10.
