The protagonist of the tale is a Delhi-based city girl named Niharika (Baby). Baby wants to be a dance sensation, but her family prevents her from achieving her dream. She somehow succeeds in getting Mikhail Shah, a well-known Goan choreographer, to hire her as his manager. Mikhail is admired and secretly adored by Baby. He is a smart and haughty individual. Baby is devastated to learn that Mikhail already has a girlfriend named Netra. Netra is a cruel, conceited lady who knows how to exploit others and use them for her own ends. She also has a history of cheating on her boyfriends.
