Bhaukaal is a 2020 Hindi language web series streaming on MX Player. It was directed by Jatin Wagle and produced by Applause Entertainment and Baweja Movies and stars Mohit Raina, Siddhanth Kapoor, Abhimanyu Singh, Bidita Bag and Pradeep Nagar in lead roles.

Mohit Raina's character, Naveen Sikhera, is promoted up Superintendent of Police (SSP) and relocated to the city. Transferring Sikhera is more of a punishment than a promotion. Two gangs control the city. The Dedha brothers (Siddhanth and Pradeep) rule the west, while the Shaukeen (Abhimanyu Singh) controls the east. To continue their operations, the two gangs have divided their territory. Even the local police are afraid to question these two groups because of how terrifying they are at the moment. As the new SSP, IPS officer Naveen Sikhera travels independently to clean the city.

Bhaukaal perfectly depicts the situation in UP, with the director not holding back on the violence and gore content shown in the series. It also manages to capture the essence of the heartland of India in its truest sense with the backdrop shown exactly how it is in real life.
