The story follows Arjun Sehgal and a number of his buddies who graduate from Pune's St. Conrad Public School and decide to seek admission but are rejected by institutions due to inadequate grades. They then make the decision to speak with a dissident professor named Tariq Siddiqui, who heads a non-accredited institution, and offer to recruit 100 students to start this college. More than 100 pupils approach to register after a marketing campaign. Arjun and his buddies fall in jeopardy when Tariq abruptly dies, leaving the administration in the hands of an unruly alcoholic man named Devang. 

The movie sheds light on how a student can comprehend, evaluate, and become what one wishes to be with the use of practical knowledge. With joy, humour, and adventures, this film transports you back to your college days in the Golden Age.

Admission Open received an IMDB rating of 3.3 out of 10. The film was a disaster at the Box Office and ended up earning only Rs 5.2 lacs on its opening weekend.
