On the occasion of superstar Rajnikanth's birthday, Sun Pictures unveiled the first look of Rajnikanth's upcoming movie 'Jailer' on their official Twitter account. The production house for his upcoming movie also mentioned the glimpse of Rajnikanth as Muthuvel Pandian, the Jailer, will be revealed at 6 pm today, on 12 December 2022. 

Superstar Rajnikanth is celebrating his 72nd birthday today and the fans are excited to see their 'Thalaivar' in an avatar he is most renowned for - the action hero avatar. Rajnikanth will be playing the role of a Jailer named Muthuvel Pandian in the action comedy movie Jailer, which is scheduled to release in 2023.

Jailer is an action comedy movie directed by Nelson Dilipkumar and produced by Sun Pictures. The cast of Jailer includes Rajnikanth as the main protagonist Muthuvel Pandian along with Ramya Krishnan, Vasanth Ravi, Shiva Rajkumar and Yogi Babu in important roles. The music of the film Jailer will be composed by Anirudh Ravichander, with editing by R Nirmal and cinematography by Vijay Kartik Kannan. The shooting of the movie Jailer is taking place in Cuddalore, Tamil Nadu, with Rajnikanth being spotted at the location for the shooting.  Jailer movie is slated to have a summer 2023 release.
