At both the national and international levels, he attended Mushairas. Waseem had two collections of poetry in Hindi and more than six collections of poetry in Urdu. Akhilesh Yadav, Uttar Pradesh's Chief Minister, proposed him for election to the Legislative Council in 2016.
He also authored five volumes, 70 Sher-o-Shayari, 10 Nazms, 11 Qitas, and more than 60 Ghazals. 'Mili Hawaon Mein Udne ki Who Saza' from the album Sajdaa in 1991, 'Uske Hothon pe Kuch Kaanpta Reh Gaya' from 1989, 'Mohabbat Nasamajh Hoti hai Samajhna Zaruri hai' from 2002, and 'Apne Chehre Se Jo Zahir Hai Use Chupaye Kese' from 1995 are a few of the ghazals.
