Pro Kabbadi League team Tamil Thalaivas

A Kabaddi team from Tamil Nadu called Tamil Thalaivas competes in the Pro Kabaddi League. The consortium known as Magnum Sports Private Limited which also owns Kerala Blasters FC of the Indian Super League owns the squad. 

The team's brand ambassador is actor Vijay Sethupathi. The Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Chennai Tamil Nadu is where the Tamil Thalaivas play their home games.

After finishing last in Zone B in 2017 and 2018–19 it hasn't had much success since making its PKL debut. In the ensuing 2019 & 2021–2022 seasons Thalaivas placed 12th and 11th respectively.

Tamil Thalaivas Owner

The organization known as Magnum Sports Ventures Pvt Ltd the parent business of Kerala Blasters FC of the Indian Super League is the only owner of this Tamil Kabaddi squad (ISL). 

The industrialist Mr. Nimmagadda Prasad Indian movie stars Chiranjeevi and Allu Arvind and an Indian film producer is among the proprietors of Tamil Thalaivas. Mr. Nikhil Bhardwaj a co-owner is in charge of the club's daily operations.

The squad is co-owned by none other than cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar actors Allu Arjun and Ram Charan and renowned film producer All Aravind. 

It is owned by industrialist Nimmagadda Prasad. Despite being the talk of the town at the auction the celebrity-studded franchise finished last in 2017 and 2018 respectively.

Tamil Thalaivas showed confidence in their players despite having a dismal Season 8 by keeping eight players after the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) Season 9 auction. Ajinkya Ashok Pawar of the Elite Player Category Sagar of the Retained Young Player Category Sahil Gulia Aashish Mohit and Himanshu of the New Existing Young Player Category and Himanshu Singh & M Abishek of the Retained Young Player Category are among the players who will remain with Thalaivas. Ajinkya Pawar

Raider of Ajinkya Ashok Pawar In 18 games last season Ajinkya Ashok Pawar accrued 108 raid points with a 51% strike rate. In the prior edition he received five Super 10s and one Super Raid. In season eight he added six tackle points. Pawar's individual performance was significantly better than Tamil Thalaivas' overall result which may have contributed to his continued participation in this edition.

Sagar Rathee

Sagar a top-notch defender demonstrated why he is among the finest in the field. In the previous game he scored 82 tackle points including eight High 5s and eight Super Tackles. He also had a tackle success rate of greater than 50%. Therefore a raider is unable to return to his zone whenever he is in his prime form. The Tamil Thalaivas made an amazing choice in keeping Sagar.

Sahil Gulia

Thalaivas' decision to keep Gulia was unexpected considering how little he had played in the previous PKL season. It was anticipated that he might enter the auction pool after participating in just one game but because of his retention he will likely have more opportunities in the upcoming season. The Thalaivas have kept him in the category of a New Existing Young Player.

Aashish

Mohit

Himanshu

Himanshu who is regarded as the defense demonstrated some raiding prowess in the previous iteration. He played 10 matches earning 38 Raid Points including 1 Super Raid. Thalaivas has decided to keep him in the New Existing Young Player Category and he will aim to improve his statistics in the following competition

Himanshu Singh

In the previous round Himanshu Singh played in six games but only got seven raid points. He continued to be on the list of below-average players from last season due to his 30% raid strike rate. Thalaivas was taken aback by the choice to keep him. Watching Himanshu compete in PKL 9 will be intriguing to see how he does.

Abishek

M. Abishek a different Thalavian who had only played seven games in the prior season of the PKL was lacking in opportunities. Having only had 12 points in 7 games. Due to his dismal Season 8 performance rookie player Abishek has a lot to show in the following campaign. He was trusted by Thalaivas and now he has the chance to repay their faith.
